"I cannot express how much I want to thank Nicko's fish and chips! We were travelling with family, all tired and no one wanted to cook, to be a coeliac and have so much care taken in your order was incredible. The seperately wrapped gluten free food and labelled with the wrapping too put me at ease, as it's always a gamble when you eat out. It was the first time in years that I've been able to enjoy (good) fish and chips and even a potato cake!!!. Not only the care given to the allergy factor, it was a big order and everything was cooked perfectly, the generous chip servings too were impressive as it gets smaller and smaller where ever you go these days! it all tasted amazing, we had takeout and we got it home and it was still fresh and hot and delicious. I literally want to move to Ocean Grove now because it was just really delightful to have such a great take out experience and option. Thankyou very much guys !"

"Absolutely the best fish and chips I've had in forever! They never leave that yuk greasy taste in your mouth because they cook in beef tallow, which is so yum. Also cater to gluten free and all of my annoying intolerances. Definitely my favourite fish and chip shop by far and I can't stop recommending to everyone I know haha especially when I have serious potato cake cravings, delicious!"

"Good fish and chips, good price but the batter on the fish and calamari is a bit thick and dry but other than that the chips were really good and cooked well. Service and workers are super nice and efficient with making the food and getting your order to you, nice indoor seating as well as out. Recommend if you’re in ocean grove"

The staff are also absolutely gorgeous, always going above and beyond and always working so hard to produce the best quality even when they are super busy and overwhelmed with orders! "Picked up our lunch from here today and then drove to Point Lonsdale to sit looking over the Coast while we ate. Service was great and the food was all very yummy. So yummy that the seagulls did not get a single chip. Thank you I am sure we will come back."
